Mitrade App: My Mobile Trading Verdict

Hands-on Mitrade mobile app review for UAE traders. Licensing, spreads, leverage up to 1:200, and who it fits best.

Leverage raises exposure well beyond the amount deposited.

Mitrade App: My Mobile Trading Verdict

I have traded through the Mitrade mobile app for a while now, so this is a hands-on review rather than a list of specs. The short verdict: it is a clean, fast app for trading CFDs straight from your phone, but the UAE licensing structure and a few platform quirks mean you should go in with your eyes open.

I have used the app in Dubai with a standard account. The app itself is the main event here - Mitrade does not offer MetaTrader 4 or 5, so you live entirely in their proprietary ecosystem. It runs smoothly on both iOS and Android, and the charts are powered by TradingView, which is a big plus for anyone used to proper charting tools.

App Features That Matter

The core question for any mobile trader is whether you can do everything from your phone. With Mitrade, you mostly can. Order placement is quick, the watchlists sync between the app and the web terminal, and the interface does not feel cluttered. I have placed market and limit orders while commuting without any lag.

The TradingView integration is the standout feature. You get the drawing tools, indicators, and real-time charts you would expect from a dedicated charting platform, all inside the broker app. This is often where proprietary apps fall short, but Mitrade got it right.

I did notice the user interface is not customizable to the degree you get on MT4 or MT5. You cannot build your own layout or add custom indicators. If you are used to scripting your own tools, you will hit a wall here.

What Are the Trading Conditions

The account setup is straightforward. There is a single standard account type with no commission on trades. The spread on UKOIL starts from 0.4 pips, and the average I saw was around 1.3 pips. For a zero-commission account, that is in line with what I would expect.

ItemMitrade Standard Account
Minimum Deposit~USD 20-50
CommissionZero
UKOIL SpreadFrom 0.4 pips (1.3 avg)
Maximum Leverage (FX)1:200
Inactivity FeeUSD 10/month after 6 months
Base CurrenciesUSD, AUD, EUR
Islamic AccountNot offered

The leverage cap of 1:200 applies to the offshore entity. That is lower than the 1:500 or 1:1000 you see advertised by some brokers targeting UAE residents, but it is still a solid amount of leverage for retail FX trading. Just remember that higher leverage cuts both ways - it amplifies your wins and your losses identically.

This is where you need to pay full attention. Mitrade holds a Category 5 license from the Capital Market Authority (CMA). That license covers arranging and advisory services - it does not cover order execution.

What this means in practice is that your trades are executed by Mitrade Holding Ltd, the offshore entity regulated by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA). The CMA license is the local presence, but your trading activity happens offshore.

HEADS UP
Your funds are not protected by the UAE regulator in the same way they would be with a broker regulated by the DFSA or FSRA. The CMA arrangement covers advisory work, not the execution side of your trades.

For a UAE resident, this is a two-entity structure. You deal with the local office for support and onboarding, but the actual CFD contracts are held by the offshore entity. The legal distinction matters if any dispute arises, because your recourse is to the entity you signed the client agreement with.

My Experience With Deposits and Withdrawals

Funding the account with AED is easy. Cards are processed instantly, and I also used Skrill without issues. The minimum deposit is roughly USD 20, which is among the lowest I have seen, making it easy to test the waters.

One thing to note: you cannot open an account in AED. The available base currencies are USD, AUD, and EUR. This means you eat a conversion cost when you fund from a dirham account, both on deposit and when you withdraw profits.

Withdrawals were the least impressive part of the experience. The 4.7/5 Trustpilot score masks a pattern of withdrawal delays and account liquidation complaints. I did not have my account liquidated, but the withdrawal process took longer than I was comfortable with.

The Platform Gaps to Consider

The lack of swap-free Islamic accounts is a real issue for a large part of the UAE market. Most brokers targeting this region offer an Islamic account as standard, and Mitrade does not. If you need Sharia-compliant trading, this is a fast disqualifier.

I also want to flag the forex time zone. The app itself is fine, but trading from Dubai means the London/NY overlap sits at 16:00-20:00 GST. That is when liquidity is best and spreads are tightest. The app handles it well, but you will be trading in the afternoon and evening, not the morning.

The Exposure You Take On

There are risks with this broker that you should be aware of before you deposit real money. The WikiFX caution about this broker is not just noise. I have seen complaints about account liquidation and withdrawal delays, and these are the two most common complaints across the broader review sites.

The inactivity fee of USD 10 per month after six months of no trading is worth noting. That will quietly drain a dormant account, so if you plan to step away, close out your positions and withdraw.

A table comparing what you get with Mitrade versus what a broker with a stronger local license typically offers:

FeatureMitradeLocal Full-License Broker
Local Execution LicenseNo (offshore)Yes (DFSA/FSRA)
Islamic AccountNoOften available
Max Leverage1:200~1:30 (DFSA)
PlatformProprietary onlyMT4/MT5 or proprietary
Base Currency (AED)NoOften available

The trade-off should be clear by now. Mitrade offers higher leverage and lower minimums at the cost of regulatory protection and platform flexibility. You have to decide which matters more to you.

Mobile-Specific Security Checks

The app has biometric login, which is a nice touch, and I recommend enabling it. I have also set up 2FA on my account, and it is mandatory for withdrawals. The KYC process required my Emirates ID and proof of address. It took about a day to get fully verified.

One small irritation: opening the app takes a few seconds to sync your watchlist and positions if you also use the web version. It is not a dealbreaker, but it happens often enough to notice.

So, Is It Worth It?

If your priority is a well-designed mobile app with zero commissions and you are comfortable with the offshore execution, Mitrade works. It is a solid choice for a casual trader who wants to trade CFDs on their phone without sitting at a desktop all day.

But if you need an Islamic account, or you want the safety of a full local execution license, then you should look at a broker that offers those. In the UAE, that means checking the DFSA or FSRA registers and confirming the legal entity matches your client agreement.

Best suited for

Casual mobile traders who prefer a clean, TradingView-powered app and want to start with a small deposit. If you trade a few times a week and are comfortable with the offshore execution model, the zero-commission structure and 1:200 leverage are genuinely attractive.

Not suited for

Traders who need Sharia-compliant accounts, or anyone who trades large enough sums that regulatory protection becomes a primary concern. If you are withdrawing six-figure profits regularly, you want your broker to hold a full execution license in a major jurisdiction. Also, if you rely on custom indicators or Expert Advisors, the lack of MT4/MT5 support is a dealbreaker.

Questions

Does the Mitrade app work well on both iOS and Android?

Yes, I have used it on both. The app is consistent across platforms, with the same features and TradingView-powered charts. There is no Android lag or missing iOS feature that I have noticed.

Is there a demo account in the mobile app?

Yes, the demo is built directly into the app, so you can switch between a demo and a live account with one tap. It uses real market prices, so it is useful for testing the platform and your setup on the go.

Can I have both the app and web platform open at the same time?

I do this daily. You can have both sessions active on the same account without being logged out. Positions update in real time on both ends, though sometimes a manual refresh is needed on the web side.

Why is my trade executed by an offshore company in the Cayman Islands?

The UAE license Mitrade holds covers arranging and advisory services. Because of that, the actual order execution is run through Mitrade Holding Ltd, which is regulated by CIMA. That means the UAE regulator does not supervise the trade execution side of things, and your client agreement is with the Cayman entity.

How do I avoid the inactivity fee of USD 10 per month?

The fee applies after six months of no login or trading activity. To avoid it, you can keep your account active by logging in regularly or closing your account when you stop trading. I withdraw my funds and close positions when I know I will not trade for a while.
