We process the technical data described above because we have a legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning editorial website and in understanding how our pages are used. This interest is balanced against your rights, and the data involved is limited to what is needed for those purposes.
When you send a message through the contact form, we process the content of that message because you have chosen to contact us and because we need it to read and respond to your enquiry. If you later ask us to stop, we will stop using your message for anything beyond keeping a record of the request.
Where local law requires consent for a particular processing activity, we rely on that consent and you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Retention of Records
Technical logs are kept for a short period, normally no longer than is needed to investigate faults, secure the site and review general readership patterns, and are then deleted or aggregated so that they no longer identify individual visitors.

We may disclose information if we are legally required to do so, or if it is necessary to protect the rights and safety of this site or its readers. In such a case we disclose only what is required.
Children and Age Limits
This site is written for adults who are considering a broker and who are old enough to open a brokerage account under the rules that apply where they live. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen.
